Year Lemming

Ten years ago, I:
1. was completing my second semester of college
2. was a week away from meeting my future ex-husband
3. was enjoying the freedoms of being away from my small town

Five years ago, I:
1. was sitting for the CPA exam
2. had just returned from a "let's see where this is going" weekend trip with J
3. was mentally and physically unstable and contemplating moving back to that small town

One year ago, I:
1. was burying my grandfather in that small town
2. was contemplating moving back to that small town
3. was wondering what the fuck it was all about

So far this year, I:
1. have a new baby nephew
2. have tried to keep my family from having so much control over me
3. actually took a whole week's vacation at one time - even if I did go on vacation with my grandmother
4. am still wondering what the fuck it is all about

Yesterday, I:
1. cried uncountable times at my desk
2. hated everybody and everything
3. tried to watch To Kill a Mockingbird but the DVD was unplayable

Today, I:
1. am looking forward to the weekend
2. made someone Dead To Me
3. won't do much actual work

Tomorrow, I:
1. will be thankful it's Friday
2. will be thankful it's one day closer to Saturday
3. won't do much actual work

In one year, I will:
1. have gone to Disney World
2. travel more
3. update my journal more

In five years, I will:
1. own a house
2. be out of debt except for house and car
3. five years older
